I purchased a brand new starter { pulley starter} from a Mercury dealer who now carry parts for the Gamefisher. The motor will not crank from the pulley starter. Its so tight that it has broken off two ropes.Place shift lever in "Neutral" and run motor at fast idle. • Disconnect fuel line from bushing on motor. • When motor begins to stall, rapidly inject a rust preventive oil into the carburetor air intake for ten (10) to twenty (20) seconds until motor stops (Fig- ure 25).Summary of Contents for Sears Gamefisher 298.585130.
