I have no idea why that worked I was just trying random things and the moment I disabled it FF14 sound starting playing. I have done no recording and have no mics. I just hook my laptop up to my external speakers every now and then and maybe that changed something. Hello, please excuse me, I got FFXIV on my desktop, I open the game in full screen and everything works perfect I get around 98 FPS but there is no sound, I saw on google that bordeless window fix the problem and it does but when I open the game in borderless window I get 4-14 FPS. I just wanted to know if anyone has a fix for this, I try ... there's no way around it. The game detects audio device settings on startup and never again, so plugging in/unplugging headphones won't be detected properly. I've complained about it a few times on this board, and frankly I'm shocked a game of this budget wouldn't be smarter about it. That's poor programming. Pandora, and windows sounds come out of the speakers just fine, but no FFXIV sound. If I plug headphones back in, FFXIV sound is back. If I unplug my headphones in the middle of gameplay there's simply no game sound at all instead of it defaulting back to the computer speakers. Some insight into this or a fix would be appreciated. I don't think you can turn them down specifically. You can turn down or off System Sounds, but that disables other features as well.
